What Causes Rashes On Thighs, Arms And Stomach After Taking Bath?

default
Posted on Wed, 9 Mar 2016
Question: my 22 month old son and I have both recently started getting a rash after bathing. his appears to be mostly on his butt cheeks, and mine is on my inner thighs, stomach, and a bit on my arms. (but both look nearly identical) I've been applying calamine lotion to his, and recently started putting neosporin on it as well since he scratched it raw one night. any idea what this could be and how I can help get rid of it?

Brief Answer:
Seems to be due to a fungal infection

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on Health care magic.

I have gone through your query and have checked the attached images. It seems that you two have fungal infection. Application of candid (clotrimazole) powder topically should provide relief. You can also use candid lotion. Neosporin would not help.

If it itches, take cetirizine once daily for few days.
