But dr when i press on it, it hurt so much is it because its on a nerve

Answered by Dr. Sanjay Kumar Kanodia (6 hours later)
Brief Answer:
It is due to sensations carried by underlying nerves

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX,

Welcome back and thanks for your follow up. It is quite usual for any abrasion to be painful mild to moderately. It is due to sensations carried by underlying nerves as well as the depth of the wound.

If you try and press it continuously then also the sensitivity increases. It could also lead to secondary infection. I suggest you to eat simple soft food with less of spices. Do not try to press or observe the area repeatedly.

My best wishes for your healthy life.

Brief Answer:
These kind of things could occur due to teeth biting

Detailed Answer:
Hello young lady,

Welcome back and thanks for posting your further follow up.

In your case neither the type of exposure and nor the mode is responsible for any type of Sexually transmitted infections. It is variable from one STD to the other to be painful or not. But in your case there is no correlation of any STD as with any of the mouth lesions. You are right in your observation that these kind of things could occur due to teeth biting or something like food item.

Just relax and don't worry.

I hope this helps.
