What Causes Pain In Back While Belching?
Question: I have a pain on the left side of my back and when I belch I get a dart of pain in the same place

Of course there is the back. Local pain would be present if when you touch the area the area you touch is sore. That is then, the source of the pain. Movement .. even with belching, usually triggers back pain if the muscles of the back are sore. Aspirin like drugs .. perhaps anti-muscle spasm medications are helpful.
The LEFT side of the back would make spinal issues pretty unlikely. Those would be expected to go outward in the pathway of a nerve.
Internal structures can cause pain. While they can be elicited by moving internal structures (such as with a belch) they are not triggered by moving EXternal structures (like pressing on the back). Local touching is quite good at distinguishing internal versus external structures.
The stomach and diaphram can be inflamed in the context of reflux disease or if there is a small tear in the diaphram (hiatal hernia). Belching triggers pain in these conditions. While the pancreas is there, irritation of the pancreas causes SEVERE, and CONTINUOUS pain. It doesn't fit with the pattern described. Likewise the gall bladder can be upset.
