What Causes Mild Headache And Fever When Diagnosed With A UTI?
Question: I had been seeing different doctors the last 2 weeks and unfortunately this is an IHS facility. They kept making diagnosis based on the chart and not really taking cultures until the nurse conducted them. No, they did not do an antibiogram for the pathogen. I feel good now but as the painkiller wears off the mild headache and fever symptoms come back.

Hi, welcome to HCM, I think what you are trying to tell me is that you have a prostatic enlargement with an infection in the urinary tract for which you have taken Ciprofloxacin and Kefloxacin, but are still getting pain and fever. I believe you are still on these antibiotics. How long have you taken them? Hope you are not a Diabetic.
I can make some suggestions--please take lemon barley water twice a day and Cranberry juice twice a day. And make sure you drink plenty of water. You can continue to take Tylenol for the fever. Sometimes it takes time for the antibiotic to act if it is a severe infection. And even if there is some improvement in your symptoms, that means you are getting better and you should continue with the course. Please revert back. Regards
