Brief Answer:
You need to make lifestyle changes.

Detailed Answer:
Hello Mr XXXX,

Thanks for posting your query on HCM.

From your description, it is clear that you do not have any heart problem. What you have is H pylori infection. You have been treated adequately for the same. But your symptoms persist.

I suggest that you continue with esomeprazole/pantaprozole and levosulpiride for some more time. You can add a probiotic like prepro to it. Since medicines are not helping you much you have to make life style changes. These include modifying your diet. Stop all spicy and oily food. Avoid junk food totally as it contains many chemicals which are harmful for the stomach. Avoid caffeinated drinks, colas and fruit juices.

You should consume more of fresh fruits and vegetables. Milk should be restricted but you can consume yoghurt. Instead of a large meal, take frequent small meals.

Avoid smoke and alcohol if you consume them.

Weight reduction helps if overweight.

Exercise in the form of walking will help. Regular hours and a good night sleep is must. And ofcourse mental stress should be avoided.

Take care.

Dear Doctor !!!

thanks for your reply . !!!

My concern is when i get chest sensations. particularly on the left side..it makes me tensed and worried about my heart.
I start wondering if the echo tmt test was wrong..can there be another way to check heart if echo tmt test was wrong...i get too tensed about it.

i know my lifestyle habits were not right..but this thing has dragged on for over 2 months..and i am getting really depressed about my health not getting better.

i am a foodie by heart..social drinker (vodka only)..non smoker.
love to eat..have left outside food.since past 1 month. stopped coffee which i love.
fall asleep at 11-12 at night. wake up at 6 a.m.
go for a walk..since its winters here i do take a warm cup of milk twice a day.. should i stop it ??

I can burp all day..but the chest sensations(sometimes mild..sometimes like a needle..i rub the area and i burp) make me nervous. they have almost vanished from my back now..but still persist on my left chest ...comparatively less on the right chest..
when i walk in the morning ...i feel all gas coming out of my mouth..and feel no issue for a while after..but then its starts again..
i only want to know for sure that it does not concern my heart..thats all..
I walk for about 1 hour 10 minutes. daily with a avg. speed of 5.7km per hour. i run a little in the middle of this too.

Please reassure me that its not my heart i should be worried about.

Ive had cholestrol checks done..all are ok..except ldl which came to be 126.
doctor did not give me any cholestrol meds. but i have started on cod liver oil tablets myself.i take them occassionally.

ill wait for your reply.

Brief Answer:
Your symptoms are a result of your anxiety.

Detailed Answer:

Your symptoms are mainly due to anxiety. The symptoms described by you do not indicate a heart disease. You are unnecessarily worried. Echo, TMT are very good tests to tell about a heart disease. Ofcourse there are more tests for heart disease but in my opinion they are not indicated in your case.

You have to stop worrying and it can happen if only you are willing. Others can only advise you, its you who has to decide that you will not worry.

If you are still not convinced i can only suggest that you consult a cardiologist for tests like Stress Echo, CT Angio etc.

Do follow life style changes as i have advised above.
