Brief Answer:
Hi

Detailed Answer:
Good day,

Noted your concerns.
Aleve ( Naproxen) is a non steroidal anti inflammatory drug. All NSAIDs has been shown to cause salt and fluid retention and hence rise the blood pressure. Other drugs mentioned in your case are okay in regard to blood pressure. However, a word of caution against long term use of Naproxen. It can damage the kidneys on long term use.

Your blood sugars seems independent of these drugs. Cholesterol seems to be good. However, since you are overweight, it may be beneficial to reduce weight, which can bring down both blood pressure as well as blood glucoe values. Arthritis may limit you from exercise like brisk walking. In that case you may do non weight bearing exercises like swimming.

Wish you good health

Regards
Binu

I have been bothered by an itching of the tops of my feet and ankles, and then the itching will go higher to my calves. I started this after I got bit while playing golf in XXXXXXX Whatever type of bugs were biting I couldn't see. but the next day my eye was swollen, both elbows swelled up nearly 50% of normal. I din't notice that my ankles swelled. I itched for 2 -3 weeks. finally the swelling subsided. but I still get itchting at night on my feet. I decided I was allergic to my medication, so I stopped taking it for -3 days and the itching stopped. I went back and continued with my doxy cyclide and there was no re-occurance of the itching. Which other drug could be causing this: the finesteride or the Flomax?

Brief Answer:
Hello

Detailed Answer:
Good day,

Thank you for writing back . The symptoms which you mentioned sounds like an allergic reaction. Noted that when you stopped medicines, the itching stopped.
Any drugs including finasteride and Flomax can cause these kind of allergy. Since Doxycycline didnt cause trouble, the best way to go forward is to reintroduce the other frugs one by one. Let us say, you can start Flomax first and wait for 2-3 days. If no itching, then add finasteride back. This way, you will know, which drug is causing the trouble. If nothing happens, then these drugs probably were not the reason of your symptoms of icthing.
