Question: hi my question is in the last yr I have been getting my periods very hevry with cloths that are quite large. I am 51 in Dec. I have see my GP lastwek and he gave me provera pills had to take them til my periods stops thats when I stop taking them.there has been no change in stopping But I have been bleedly very heavy that I need to use two pads at once in the last two days pls can you help me.by the way I am also taking Aspirin tablets thank you.

Internal Gynec exam and Pap smear.
Pelvic ultrasound scan.
TSH, BP record, Blood sugar checks.
That should reveal the reason for the heavy bleeding.
It could be fibroids, polyp, ovaries, cysts or thickening of the lining of the uterus .
You can take tranexamic acid to stop the bleeding after consulting your doctor.
