Question: Hi, I have been having these symptoms for the last week or so. They follow as: a headache best described as having too much pressure, my balance feels off, my eyes are slow and sensitive, I feel very light and I have to put extra will power into making my body do what I want it to do, loud noises sending knives into my head, halfway between meals getting very shaky and fatigue, feeling better for a little while after a meal or more of a sugary treat, urinating a lot more than usual (I also have been drinking more than usual), but my brain feels find with being alert and all. Can you please help me out with this? I also have depression, anxiety, and scoliosis. Thank you

Hi, no I do not have any addictions. I do not drink, smoke, do drugs, or any of that stuff.

I am not aware of having any comorbidities besides having depression and anxiety. I have been fighting my depression and anxiety for the last year. All of my blood work that I have ever had done has been normal as far as I have been told.

Both of my grandpas had diabetes type 2. My one grandma had thyroid cancer. My dad's side of the family has major history with gallbladder disease. Other than those things there are no other medical history things that are in the family.

I have had headaches and such for a long time, since my scoliosis formed (7-8 years ago), and I can tell when my headaches are caused by my neck being out of line and this is not the case with how I feel now.

If I had to guess and describe the feeling that I have been having, I would describe it as low blood sugar. But I have never experienced that so I do not know if that is actually the cause. I seem to feel better once I eat/drink something sugary.

I have also lost around a pound or two within the last week.

I do not know what else you would like to know.

Thank you for helping me and I am looking forward to trying to figure out why I feel the way I do. I am too far away from my family doctor to ask them so I hope that you can help me the best that you can.

Brief Answer:
Depression and Anxiety are the probable culprits.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for being in follow up.

With details of your clinical history, I don't see any specific neurological disease as the cause of your symptoms.Depression and anxiety are itself two big demons which can cause all these symptoms.Infact, they often cause such somatic symptoms.

I further suggest you to get your blood sugar and thyroid function tests as both these abnormalities can cause such symptoms.

Hope that helps. If you have some further questions,I shall be glad to have you in follow up.
