Hello,
I have gone through the reports and find them all right except some slightly high value of blood sugar and a small stone in gall bladder.
I would want you to get her liver function tests done along with serum levels of VIT D,VIT B12,calcium and thyroid function tests.
Get her tested for rheumatoid arthritis also by getting anti ccp antibodies done.
Try stopping her glyciphage ( medicine for diabetes ) because it can also cause loss of appetite and in my opinion there is no need for it.
My endeavour is to find the cause for her extreme weakness because we shall be able to treat her properly only if we can pin point the exact cause.
I hope it helps, however you are most welcome to revert to me for any further query.
Best of luck
Thanks

Hello,
Whenever you want to consult me you can send the query to healthcare magic and marked with my name.
It will reach me.
As far as Ayurvedic medicines are concerned,I have absolutely no idea because that is not my field.
You can try them and see the effect yourself.
Make sure to keep a watch on blood sugar levels because some Ayurvedic medicines may cause rise in sugar levels. Now whether these medicines do it or not,I can not comment.
Best is to keep checking sugar levels every 2-3 days.
Thanks

Dear Sir,
Thanks for your mail and detail. We almost done it for 5 days but there is not much effect of weakness. They told us that it will effect after 2-3 months and it's procedure not possible to do for 3 months as it is much hard for mother.

Yesterday we do report for diabetes & b12.
Result is as under.
post prandial plasma glucose - 140 (range - 80-140)
urine glucose - nil
b12 level,serum - 1895 (range 211-911)

I want to know mummy suffered because the b12 level is more than the limit?
What other report we have to do now?
It's digest power is low.She can't hungry much.
she can sleep only 2,3 hours at night but she don't like to eat sleeping tablet as it effect on health.
For this type of deases can we appoint any specialist doctor in our city and can discuss with you more technically?
If specialist doctor need please suggest which type of specialist doctor needed for this type of deases?

I m worry about my mother , so I ask you more question. Please don't mind.

So please suggest for all above question.

Thanks!

Hello,
High serum B 12 levels can sometimes be associated with serious disorders like blood cancers or liver cancers or liver cirrhosis etc, however whether such type of illness in your mother is present or not has to be looked into.
In such a situation, the best person to consult would be a Hematologist.
Once Hematologist rules out any problem, you can consult a gastroenterologist for proper evaluation of liver.
Don't hesitate in asking any query.
Thanks

Hello,
I have seen the reports and found them to be all right except VIT D results which are very low. Although VIT D deficiency does cause weakness but I am not sure that this deficiency is the only culprit behind the weakness in your mother.
You must consult a Hematologist as I advised you in my earlier post to look into the very high value of B 12.
For VIT D deficiency, you can give CALCIROL sachets dissolved in a cup of milk every week for 12 weeks and then it can be given once a month on regular basis.
Keep giving calcium supplement. You can give SHELKAL one tablet twice a day.
Thanks

Hello ,
Thanks for your mail and detail.
I mention that from last 1 year we take vitamin b12 injection because it is low before 1 year.
So is it possible that because of b12 injection , the count will be high.
So now is it needed to consult or take report after 15 days of b12 and then consult the haematologist.

Is there any problem occur if b12 is going high because of injection?

Answered by Dr. Pavan Kumar Gupta (2 hours later)
Hello,
It may be possible that high levels are due to high therapeutic intake of B 12 but even then the cause of high levels must be found out.
You can wait for three weeks and get the B 12 estimation repeated.
In case still high you may consult a Hematologist.
High levels caused by high dose of VIT B12 doesn't cause any problems.
Thanks
