How Safe Is Diligan With Vertin 16 For Dizziness?
Hello Doctor, I have a question , my dad has got giddiness while he was sleeping last night. we wnt to nearest clinic they prescribed vertin 16 tablet and put some B12 injection. next day we went to our family doctor he gave diligan tablet and said continue along with vertin 16. now my father is getting giddiness not that much but some what little bit giddiness is there. so please tell me is this giddiness is leads any danger ...please advise

Both these tablets are given for dizziness but only for symptomatic relief. Means you have to get the underlying pathology diagnosed for proper treatment.
With this presentation in my clinic, I would first of all check the BP baseline and changes in BP with position change to check for orthostatic changes.
Peripheral vestibular dysfunction is one of the most frequent causes in the elderly and hence the doctor prescribed Vertin 16 tablet. You make him take this tab for a week and then follow up again.
Along with that, I suggest you eye sight check up from a good optician. Also, get his Hb checked by a lab test.
If the symptoms yet persist and the above-mentioned examinations come fine, I suggest you to go to the specialist for further examination.
