Question: Hi my name is not important but I recently tried to kill myself, I took 60 500g eplim. Ended up in hospital. I XXXXXXX t remember a lot but I know I was on dialios, they gave me charcoal then I went into a coma for 4 days. They punctured my lung by accident but I've had an X-ray and all is good and a Mir wich is also good but the problem is that I keep getting a fever and I can,t eat and swallowing is a nightmare. My whole mouth is sore from having the tubes down my throat for so long any suggestions

Well looking into your problem I would like to tell you that it needs to be seen that it is just traumatic or some fungal infection is going on . There is a possibility of candidiasis also but that needs examination of the throat because the treatment options will be different .
But I will advise you to take a multivitamin tablet along with swallowing of xylocaine viscous which acts as local anesthetic and blocks the pain sensation . Avoid very hot and spicy food , try to keep your food bland and semi solid that will make it easy to swallow . Keep your self well hydrated which is very important for healing.
It needs to be seen if antifungals are required or not. It is advisable for you to take opinion from an ENT surgeon regarding this because oral examination will be very important in this.
