Question: For the last 3 months I've had discomfort after I eat I feel food moving down my windpipe then it feels like it gets stuck in my back it can also happen when I've not had a meal. It is short lived by belching then quickly comes back. I've not lost weight and all routine bloods where fine. I suffer from extreme anxiety and it's petrifying me .

Hi,
Thanks for your follow up reply

"As" per your clinical history please follow few things which you can do at home before visiting your doctor.

1)Eat several smaller meals throughout the day rather than a few large meals

2)Avoid foods like chocolate, onions, spicy foods, citrus fruits, and tomato based foods

3)Try to avoid alcohol and smoking if you take it

4)Eat at least 3 hours before bedtime

5)Lose weight if you are overweight or obese

6)Elevate the head of your bed 6 inches[about 15 CM]

7)You can use over the counter any antacids or omeprazole

8)Do an endoscopy and Manometry after consulting with your Gastroenterologist, who will do your clinical examination to confirm whether to manage in conservative or any surgical treatments required.

I hope i was able to answer your problem, and if you have further clarification you can ask me and if you want to close please give your valuable feedback.

Wish you a good health

Thanks
