Brief Answer:
Dietary Regime & Lifestyle Management with Ayurveda

Detailed Answer:
Dear
Thanks for contacting Ayurveda with your health concern and after reviewing your history and "other question" section, your brief summary is as under:

1. Since there is history of Infarction and Angioplasty with Cardiologist opinion thus yourare already under guidance and supervision to prevent re occlusion of the grafts and vessels.

2. The treatment (medical) will be a 5 step approach tothe disease:

i. Exercise: since your TMT was boderline and normal ( as suggested by the Cardiologist) thus

. Brisk walking for 45 minutes every day, at least 5 days a week ( best and safest)

. Yogasanaas to relax and stretch various muscles should be learned under the guidance of a Yoga expert and the same should be discussed with your attending physician.

. Pranayama: anuloma viloma ( breath control exercise/deep breathing)

ii. Stress Management

. Meditation, positive thinking, relaxation to avoid tensions ( small matters, disagreement in family) should not be taken too seriously so as to affect own health.

iii. Low Fat Diet

The aim is to keep:
S. Cholesterol below 200 mg/dl
HDL above 45 mg/dl
LDL below 130 mg/dl

AVOID
. butter, ghee, cheese, unskimmed milk, saturated oils, deep fried foods, yellow of egg, red meat, hamburger, deep fried fish.

. Alcohol, caffeine,tobacco,

TAKE:
. Vegetable soups ( without butter)
. Plenty of salads of uncooked or boiled vegetables
. Raw sprouted pulsee
. More of bhajis prepared with minimum or no oil.
. Roti or phulka without oil
. Skimmed milk upto 1 cup per day
. Margarine instead of butter
. Onion, Garlic, soy bean, apple, curd of skimmed milk
. Prefer green tea.
. White of egg, turkey, fish, lean meat
. Limited use of monounsaturated oils. ( never heat oil twice)
. Increase the fibre intake, as they reduce cholesterol absorption.

iv. Eliminate known risk factors

. Stop Smoking
. Maintain Ideal body weight, keep blood sugar and blood pressure under control.
. Avoid mental strains

v. Drugs

. Keep your drugs in the bedroom, at the office, in travel kits. It is also very important that your family members and relatives know where the tablets will be found in case of emergency.

Do revert back with your clarifications.

Brief Answer:
Ayurveda Treatment

Detailed Answer:
Dear
Thanks for reverting back.

1. Since calcification increases with age but as you are young ( 37 years) thus Cardiologist will be in a better position to explain the same.

2. To prevent plaque formation "three" conditions are to be stopped and controlled:

. Stop Smoking
. Control blood pressure and cholesterol and Triglycerides level.

3. I usually prescribe following drug treatment to my patients:

i. Capsule Protect for IHD (Ischaemic heart disease)

ii. Tablet Abana which regulates serum lipids by lowering cholesterol, triglycerides, low density and very low density lipoprotein leveos and restores the cardioprotective high density lipoprotein level and also reduce the sensitivity of heart to adrenergic stimulation and improves the contractility of heart

PS. It is advisable to use Abana under medical supervision, if the pre existing medical condition are long standing and refractory to other modern medication.

iii. Madiphala Rasayan: 2 tsf twice daily.

iv. Cap Eviled: twice daily ( best anti oxidant)
