What Causes Cold And Fatigue?

Question: I went to a walk in clinic with cold symptoms . The blood work showed a WBC flag g2 and a low HTC and Mpv. They told me to follow up with pc doc . What questions should i be asking . I have felt tired for a long time. Thank you for responding.

Blood report with non blast flag G2 , Low Hct, and MPV suggest viral etiology.

If you are following up with PC do ask him to rule out the viral involvement.

Feeling tired for long if more than 2 weeks may not be related to the Viral infection.
A detailed physical examination would be necessary to know cause for the same.

Since, most viral infections tend to lower the immunity, do discuss on you being placed on a cover antibiotics.

Thanks for writing back.

Etiology simply means " cause ". I meant to say it could be Viral infection.

Platelet count must be observed as it may reduce. Already MPV has dropped.

You may get headache, muscle and joint pains.

Take care that you are on pain killers and a course of cover antibiotics.
