Brief Answer:
Possible infection of genitalia,following advice...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I understand your concerns.

1. You are reporting to have unprotected sex a few months ago, and only one month ago you are starting to get burning/fire sensations around the are where pubic hair grows.

If you had unprotected sex only once, then, that is not related to your actual problems.

2. From what you are describing, it seems that you might be having infection of your genitalia, possibly vaginal thrush.

However, I need to know if this is a constant feeling or it is aggravated before your periods?

3. I advise to:
- keep a good genitalia hygiene. Wash with warm warm and unscented soap.
- rinse well
- apply anti-fungal cream you find over the counter
- avoid sex until improvement
- always practice protected sex if different partners.
- check your blood sugar levels
- have a balanced diet, avoid sugary foods
- consume yogurt with natural lactobacillus
- do wear cotton panties

4. If you are also having increased vaginal discharge, you should run a Pap smear and vaginal swab testing to rule out other types of vaginal infection (including bacterial or protozoan).

Hope it was of help!

Brief Answer:
other common vaginal infection to be considered

Detailed Answer:
Hi back my dear,

Ok then, you are mentioning to have run testing to check for sexually transmitted diseases.

So far, no report regarding other less serious diseases like :
- fungal infection
- giardnerella vaginalis
- trichomonas vaginalis

Commonly noted during vaginal swab testing.

If I was your caring doctor would check for these problems too before deciding for best treatment.

Hormonal changes should be considered too.

All the best!

you are not alone, deserve to be healthy

Detailed Answer:
Hi back my dear,

If something wrong with your health persists , then should consult with your og specialist to find out the right cause and to treat it accordingly.

There is nothing embarrassing here and there are many other people having the same problems and got them treated accordingly.

You deserve to enjoy sex and to have a great quality of life.

All the best!

Brief Answer:
Yes,genital infection can interfere with monthly periods....

Detailed Answer:
Hi back my dear,

To my opinion, you might have a common genital infection that is commonly occurring in sexually active women when STDs are excluded. They can be completely treated and usually patients respond well. Unless, metabolic diseases like diabetes are present.

It is true that genital infection can interfere with monthly periods : duration and appearance. However, if I was your caring doctor would like to be sure about the type of infection before running into final conclusions.

There are other factors interfering with periods bleeding like hormonal changes, stress, etc.

All the best!

Brief Answer:
All the best and God bless!

Detailed Answer:
Hi back my dear,

I am sure everything will go well. You need to get tested before starting an appropriate treatment.

Try not to have sex while in treatment. Your partner (if only one) should be treated as well to decrease chances for re-infection.

Let me know how it goes!

Brief Answer:
You have the God's right to get medical consultation without being judged..

Detailed Answer:
Hi back my dear,

There is nothing to get scared or disgusting in here. You have a medical problem that can be perfectly solved. You have the right to get medical consultation and to solve your problems.

Do not get scared and forget about judgement. Try to explain to the OG specialist your actual problems, previous issues you might have, the tests you did and what you take.

Ask about the tests, what special precaution you need, and if you have anything unclear regarding treatment.

All the best!
