Question: I had the shingles vaccine some years ago but I think I have shingles... a blistering rash in one armpit and pain in my my neck and shoulders and tingling in my feet and hands. I am diabetic and I have CLL. Should I see a doctor tonight or wait till morning? Do I need to see one at all? How seriously should I take it?

Brief Answer:
It is a self limiting ailment. Does not require medication.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone through the description and understand your concerns. Shingles is a viral disease which is self contraining but contagious. I would insist on isolation. Please upload an image of the affected areas and I would be able to confirm if it is shingles. In any case you would have to be patient and it is likely to subside on its own in 7-10 days. Let me know if you have fever as well. Your having diabetes concerns me. But I think you can wait and watch. I do not think that going to a doctor would really be helpful.

I will await for you to upload an image for confirmation. Also mention any other information that could be relevant.

Regards
