What Causes A Circular Rash On The Face In An Infant?

Question: Hi... my 7 month old son has got a round rash on his face which seems to be non itchy...it's there from a week. He got these kind of rashes before which went away on their own. But this time it started as a small one and grew in size. The growth stopped now. But the rash didn't go away. Also, he had diarrhoea for 10 days and he just recovered 4 days ago. The paediatrician gave him antibiotic injections and syrup for his diarrhoea. He got the rash 3 days after getting diarrhoea. When we asked the doc about the rash he didn't take it seriously and said it will go on its own. Now I am not sure if I need to take it easy. Currently he is having cold and cough for which the doc prescribed Articlor and ace cold.. Please provide your opinion about the rash...I am attaching the picture of the rash also.
