What Causes A Burning Sensation While Urinating?

default
Posted on Sat, 25 Nov 2017
Question: I had burning sensation when i urinated 8 years back. Frequent urination was there. I misjudged it to be diabetes and went to a physician. He examined and after blood test and urine test confirmed it to be UTI. I was told to drink loads of water and prescribed Norflox 400 mg. The burning sensation did stop and i was normal.

I'm married 5 months back. Again i am facing the same problem. There is a burning sensation while i urinate and frequency is more. I often wake up midnight because of this.

Brief Answer:
Do a urine culture and sensitivity

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query.

It seems to be a urinary tract infection. UTI is very common after marriage.
Its nothing to be worried.

You can take the same antibiotic again for 3 days. But I will suggest that you take antibiotic after urine examination and urine culture and sensitivity done. Nowadays resistance to antibiotics is very common.

Hope it helps.
