Brief Answer:
Try omeprazole. Suggest holter monitoring

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
I am Dr Mittal.
I have read your query.
I think I would be able to help you.

First, you should know that the symptoms can all be explained by anxiety disorder. Especially if the ecg has been normal.

However, I have found that the patient should be trusted with his symptoms. I think the possibility of this being a gastritis is strong. I will therefore suggest that you start proton pump inhibitors like omeprazole. This may help with your gastric symptoms.

As for the missed heart beat, I think it would be good to have a holter monitoring scheduled. That's like a prolonged ecg for 24 hours and would tell us if there is a abnormality.

So as of now, continue your anti anxiety medicines with omeprazole.

I have tried to make it as simple as possible.
I hope that the information helps you.
Best of luck.

Brief Answer:
Gastritis can cause chest discomfort

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

A valid question.

But yes, gas and gastritis are regularly known to cause chest discomfort, breathing discomfort and arm pain. It is a feature called as referred pain that japes because the nerve supply is same to both the heart and the stomach.
In fact it is quite a common mimic of heart attacks.

As for abnormal heart rhythm, there need not be any chest discomfort or pain. They happen as you described, suddenly and for a very brief period of time.

I hope that the information helps you.
Please feel free to contact me for further information on the subject.
Best of luck.

Brief Answer:
gastritis treatment should be tried

Detailed Answer:
Gastritis is a definitive possibility. I am sure that the medicine suggested should be able to help you . Also know that too much anxiety can also trigger the gastritis.
As for h pylori, that us just one of the causes of gastritis.

Brief Answer:
holter will help as suggested in the 1st response

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Gastritis is unlikely to cause heart arrhythmia. For that ,however, I have already suggested doing a Holter monitoring. If present, arrhythmia will be picked up by Holter monitoring.
So we can pick it up and treat it as well. What exactly do you mean by abnormal sensation?
