Suggest Treatment For Red Patches On Arm
Question: My daughter developed a large red roundish circle on her arm that is white in the middle a week ago. Now she has them on both arms and belly and hips and back - 10 total. She also just started a fever today - 100.3. This morning she woke up with a stuffy head and a sore throat. We're mostly concered about the rash, as we've never seen that kind of rash before. I'm attaching pictures. What do you think it is?

I have also reviewed the Images. I can see red, botches/ patches in these Images which are paler in the center.
I will like to keep a possibility of hives/ urticaria.
I would like to know whether this rash is itchy? Or any other symptoms? Are these patches persistent Or do they disappear on there own in a few hours and then appear again? Do they also expand or keep changing shapes?

The spots are not itchy, they are just "there." They have stayed persistsntly. Changes have been the center changing from pale to red back to pale and 2 of them combined into one big one.

No. Its not hives since you say that it has persisted and is not itchy. Hives are usually evanescent and are itchy.
This seems more like urticaria vasculitis based on the history particularly the central palor and bluish discoloration is very suggestive. This could be a reaction to medicine/ drug. Did she take any drug prior to this rash happening? Urticaria vasculitis can also happen in response to common infections like viral cold and flu.
If I was the treating doctor I would suggest an Oral antiallergic e.g cetrizine syp 5mg/5ml, 1 tsf, once or twice daily (if she is more than 5 years of age).
A short course of an Oral steroid may also be required if cetrizine alone seems insufficient Or the spots continue to progress.

Could it possibly be an allergic reaction to chemicals on new clothing? It started after we bought a bunch of new clothes for her, which she had been wearing all week. She did not wash them before wearing them.
The only mecidication she has taken is ibuprofen for an occational headache and cramps.
Are there any tests that can be done to find out exactly what it is?
