Suggest Treatment For Rashes On Penis
Question: Hi help! I have had a red rash on my penis im worried can you help tell me what it is
Brief Answer:
Possibility of seborrheic dermatitis Or psoriasis
Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us
I have gone through your query and i have also reviewed the images. I can see a few red patches on base of shaft and further up the penis. These seems like due to either seborrheic dermatitis or psoriasis.
If i was the treating doctor I would suggest you to use a moderately potent topical steroid e.g either triamcinolone acetonide 0.1% cream Or mometasone furoate 0.1% cream twice daily for a few days. These are prescription steroids and I suggest that you visit a dermatologist in your vicinity for a confirmation of the diagnosis and for the needful.
Regards

ello, Thank you for the follow up. From the pictures, I can appreciate blisters around the shaft as well as the sores on the glans. This can be because of rough sex, however, since it is recurrent, I would advise you to get yourself tested for herpes-2, as it is common with herpes. If this is ruled out, you can apply Calamine lotion and Mupirocin ointment on the lesions, and it will reduce. Feel free to discuss further.

Brief Answer:
Does'nt seem like herpes on Image
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
I cannot comment on this opinion of others.
However, I don't think there are any blisters suggestive of herpes. Infact I can appreciate that the skin involvement is dry and scaly.
So did you get tested for herpes? and how long do you have this skin condition?
Also this is very unlikely to be due to rough sex.
Regards
