Questions and answers on "Glans"

Hi, My name's Rakesh. I'm 33 years old, married and have 2 year-old kid. My problem is with phimosis = tight foreskin. I'm a Hindu and never had a circumcision (as a young kid, I wish I had). Due to tight foreskin, on full erection, my glans penis is exposed only half-way. So far, I've have no problem urinating nor ejaculating. But I fear something called para-phimosis which I believe is a medical emergency. I think I'm the right candidate who'll end up with this. Let me explain this in detail. In non-erectile condition, my skin can be retracted and with little difficulty behind the bulb/glans, but it does get stuck behind the ridge. With some difficulty (that too with ample lubrication like warm water or oil) I can push my foreskin back over the glans, as it gets stuck behing the ridge. My foreskin opening is limited. I'm afraid of para-phimosis during coitus with my wife. Twice, during half erection my foreskin got pulled behind the glans and with difficulty I pushed it forward. I know "Circumcision" is the most adviced. But I have these fears: 1) Due to circumcision in older adults, the most sensuous nerves in the part called frenulum is severed and hence men after such older-age circumcision lost erectile functions considerably. 2) Due to non-exposure of glans, it has become quite sensitive. The mere touch of external object like my hand and brush of a harder fabric underwear gives me pain. So my actual question is : 1) What are the alternatives to circumcision to expand my foreskin. I hate to go under the scalpel. I heard some ointments like corticosteroids help a great deal as a non-surgical cure for phimosis. Please suggest some brand name available in India. I stay in Bangalore. 2) How to make the over-sensitive glans a little tough, so that contact with my hand, or my wife's vagina is not painful?? Any ointments there??

Can I break my frenulum on purpose ? I m 14 years old (almost 15) and I know that sex will soon be a part of my life... The thing is, I m French (so not circumsised) and I can pull my prepuce off when I m not erect, I can too when I m erect but I can feel that it s very tight, I m afraid that it might hurt or even break during my first sexual act... Anyway, I d like to know if breaking it on purpose (pulling it hard juste once) is possible (I would of course clean it very well after and do anything NOT to get infected, just like any basic wound...). I know that it bleeds a lot after, I ll juste have to press something clean against it to stop the bleeding ... I know that I can do that surgically, but it s VERY embarrassing... Anyway, thanks for the answer ;)

Hi,
Thanks,
Don't even try to pull your foreskin in erect condition or don
t try to cut your frenulum as it causes sever bleeding & it creats a medical emergency for stopping of bleeding.
Frenulum carries important vessels in it that will supply penile muscles.
Your arousal & erection is due to...

I have reoccurring red spots on the head of my circumcised penis , usually on the under side. They are not always in the same place. Sometimes they come for a few days, then they leave, and seem to come back randomly. Sometimes spots will occur after (unprotected) sex, but those ones seem like they go away in a short period of time or over night. The spots are never really raised. They aren t like blisters. They don t puss up or pop or scab over. Sometimes there is an itch or slight burning sensation. They are unsightly and take a toll on my mind more than anything else. I haven t had unprotected sex with anyone other than my girlfriend for about the last year. I usually shy away and refrain from sexual activity when they do occur until they are virtually unnoticeable. They started appearing maybe 3-4 months ago.

Ok like the title says, there s a build up of something on my glans, and I don t know what it is. It doesn t cover a large area, it s actually pretty small around 1.5cm by 0.5 cm (area wise) and then around 0.5mm thickness wise and it s located on the bottom part of the head on the left side. This area brings no irritation/pain ever and it s not white, it actually looks like my foreskin colour, so it s most likely not smegma . Also, I can pull my foreskin back perfectly and get all the necessary cleaning done back there.(I also shower once a day everyday) It s not really all that noticeable either. Additional details-When I was young I damaged the left side of my penis (not horribly) and due to this, it curves to the right slightly. Could it be scar tissue due to this?

hi,thanks for query. It seems that you seems to have nodule like thing on your glans. It is very difficult to guide without proper examination, but most likely it could be due to some infection or repeated friction in that area.Do not worry, just see your doctor and get treated for this.I think this...

I get very sweaty on my face; my forehead will get wet and my hair also gets wet. Several years ago, I had an episode where I got hot like this, but I also had palpatations. My thyroid was too high and my sodium was too low. When I went off of hormone therapy, I experienced the sweating for about 9-12 months and then it stopped. Could that start up again. It has become very annoying.
