The past few days I've been developing a quite painful rash on both sides between the upper cheeks of my butt. It started as just a sting and then as of this morning its quite read and inflamed and painful to the touch. It is looking like intertrigo a mixed bacterial and fungal infection.
I treat such patients with a combination of steroid and antifungal cream in night and antibacterial cream in day.

Are there over the counter medications you would reccomend as I'm traveling in the US and it may prove difficult/costl to get an appointment to obtain a prescription without insurance. y

Thanks Dr. I applied clotrimazole this morning and then cortizone tonight but it reamins quite painful and appears to be worstening. Is this to be expected or should I seek medical attention in person. Best,
