Answered by Dr. Dr. Rakhi Tayal (1 hour later)
Brief Answer:
Delay in periods is due to breast feeding.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
It is normal not to have periods during breast feeding. This is due to high levels of prolactin. Your normal periods will resume once you stop the breast feeding. This is a physiological process and is not worrisome. The mild cramps that you are getting are uterine contractions.
You can take hormonal tablets to get periods but after getting periods once again you will have problem in getting the next periods. The hormonal medicines will be secreted in breast milk also. It is best to wait and let the periods start on their own after the breast feeding is stopped. During this time the chances of pregnancy are present. You need to use adequate contraception to avoid a pregnancy.
To avoid putting on extra weight you can decrease the high calorie foods and fat and increase your fluid intake. Also do start with mild exercise like brisk walking and aerobics or swimming to lose extra kilos.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.
Regards.

My right side breast is sore and under the breast have got red rash line stuff it's painful from neck to under the breast can't even move

Brief Answer:
Can be due to mastitis.

Detailed Answer:
The pain in the right breast can be due to mastitis or a breast abscess. It needs a direct examination for confirmation. If the pain subsides on a hot fomentation and after breast feeding then you can take a mild pain killer and wait for it to subside spontaneously. In case the pain is gradually increasing then oral antibiotics are needed for treatment. The rash will subside with local steroid based antiseptic ream like Betnovate N.

Can it be muscular pain coz m sleeping on one side whole night
doctor
Answered by Dr. Dr. Rakhi Tayal (1 hour later)
Brief Answer:
Muscular pain not likely.

Detailed Answer:
Muscular pain will not cause the skin to be warm and shiny under the breast. Infection is a more likely cause. You can do a hot compress for a temporary relief.
