Question: Hello dr. I had consulted you on HMC and your ans satisfied me and today once again please help me dr. My gf last regular periods was started on 23 oct and over almost a week , and on nov we had sex not intercourse but she took unwanted 72 within a 2-4 hours after the sex and one pill next day for safer side..almost after 2 week on 18 nov she had a little bleeding for a moment and stopped.. And again on 21 nov she had a bleeding stopped same as... And I consulted on HMC about it, reply I got the unexpected bleeding happened due to hormonal imbalance because of pills, await for few days everything will be normal...and on 22 nov my gf hold my naked p in her hand and by mistake she touched her v with same hand within 5 min while she was washing her v.. After that in nervousness she took again one pill same day and on 27 nov we again get closed not intercourse.. On 28 to 29 nov she had a bleeding in a continuos way but she took one pill on 29 nov evening in already being in bleeding for the incident of 27 nov .. After she took pill her bleeding stopped, and on 2 dec we again closed and she took pill.. On 10 dec she dad a little bleeding for moment and stopped and next 11 dec she had a bleeding for whole day and stoped and not yet continued...please suggest . Is she safe from pregnancy and the bleeding that was occur on 28-29 is her periods? Because bleeding was in a continous way and stopped when pill were

Thanks for writing to us. Followings are my comments:

1) Frequent taking of emergency pill is the main reason of irregular bleeding and period disturbance due to hormonal imbalance.

2) She mostly got withdrawal bleeding on 28 to 29th Nov due to effect of the pill, which was taken on 22nd Nov. Bleeding stopped on 29 Nov due to taking extra dose of pill on that day.

Again she got withdrawal bleeding on 10th Dec due to effect of the pill, taken on 2nd Dec. I suggest her to await for next due date for getting period. In this time, NO pill is to be taken. Otherwise, period date will be disturbed.

3) Pregnancy depends on proper timing of ovulation and unprotected sexual intercourse with ejaculation inside vagina. She took pill each time within first 24 hrs after sexual intimacy (without proper intercourse). Therefore, chance of pregnancy is extremely RARE.

4) Touching each other genitals (penis or vagina) DOESN'T let her pregnant until there is proper sexual intercourse or ejaculation or precum inside vagina. It also depends on her ovulation day.

5) If you want to involve in sexual intimacy or intercourse frequently, then she must take combined oral contraceptive pill regularly instead of taking emergency pill. It will give highest protection and regular period.

Dr please calculate the time of unsafe or safe sex when I had did because there is safe or unsafe period in every monthly cycle.i did seduction not intercourse but I need your advice because I was satisfied earlier with you ans. please do this time too. I know u 'will give me advice better

You did mostly SAFE sex according to last period date. As there was NO proper sexual intercourse or ejaculation inside vagina, her chance of pregnancy is extremely RARE. I have already explained that thing. Don't be worried much.

I suggest her to await for next coming period due date as her period is completely messed up due to frequent taking of emergency pill. It should be stopped right now.

One home pregnancy test is advised if she misses her next period. It will help to clear confusion and get relief from mental stress.

Ok dr. We going to do again test after a week for confirmation, and dr. I want to know if she will go under a medical treatment like blood test, ultrasound and other treatment, is there is any possibilities that in treatment result that I pill were can be detected? Because we don't want to revealled that she had taken pill earlier because of family and after all she is a girls dr. So she afraid of this thing? Ok dr. According to this the nov month seem to be clear, because the bleeding that was happened either that was periods or withdrawal bleeding due to the use of pills but in both condition result is negative, if it was withdrawal bleeding and pregnancy were take place then the result should be positive because today we did a test after almost a month. But if it was menstrual bleeding than it clear too.. And the result we got is negative , that mean safe na????

Withdrawal bleeding occurs due to sudden intake of high dose progesterone pill (like I-Pill). It is different from normal period.

Frequent intake of emergency pills make difficult to distinguish between them. It makes period irregular. It is also NOT good for her health.

As she gets NEGATIVE pregnancy test today, she is SAFE from pregnancy. Repeat the test after ONE week for confirmation.

Hello dr. Still her periods not yet happen, she is having a viginal discharge but on 5 january in the evening she did one urine HPT and result was negative found single line and one test she done today in the morning first urine of the morning again result is negative only one single line .. I suggest her to take Norethisterone pill (like PRIMOLUT-N) twice daily for 5 days to induce period as her last pregnancy test was NEGATIVE. She will get her period within 5 to 7 days after stopping the medicine. It is a prescription only drug.

In the mean time, she can start following things to induce period effectively like :

1) Eating papaya, pineapple or other heat inducing foods like meat, hot milk.

2) Drink fennel seed soaked boiled water several times in a day.

3) Use hot water bottle around abdomen/ back region or take hot shower bath.

4) Celery juice, Ginger tea and vitamin -C supplements are also useful.

5) Avoid Salty/ Fatty foods and mental stress. Maintain genital hygiene.

Hello dr. As we discussed earlier about it, she was having on homeopathic medicine given by local dr, from 14 XXXXXXX 2015 her medication were started, and she got her periods after two days since she was on homeopathic medicine, on 16 of XXXXXXX around 5:30 a.m in the morning her periods started... But dr. XXXXXXX jain(OBGYN) advice her to take contraceptive pills like MALA D, in being in periods, but dr, as she got repeated times HPT negative and now she got her periods, that means she is safe from pregnancy , then what is the purpose of taking MALA D,???? I can't understand, please suggest the purpose of taking that pill after she got her periods and there is no pregnancy.
