Brief Answer:
yes, this can occur

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Yes, this is can occur.

This is the reason, for example, that some persons with anxiety/emotional stress may have fatigue , chest pain, shortness of breath, palpitations, abdominal pain etc. In these individuals there is no physical cause for the pain or any of the symptoms present

In some persons, the brain or thoughts running through the mind may not be the initial cause of the pain but may be aggravating/worsening it or affecting the persons response to the pain/symptoms

This is usually not considered until physical causes of symptoms have been ruled out.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions

Answered by Dr. Michelle Gibson James (11 hours later)
Brief Answer:
it is a possible symptom

Detailed Answer:
HI

sorry about the delayed reply

Numbness can possibly occur but as mentioned, physical causes always have to be ruled out first because considering that any symptom/s are related to the mind only.

For numbness, imaging and blood tests would be needed.

Bloods such as vitamin b12 and folate levels, diabetes screening, thyroid function, liver and kidney function, complete blood count and ESR (checks for inflammation), serum protein electrophoresis.

Please feel free to ask anything else
