Posted on Tue, 14 Feb 2017
Question: I have diverticulosis.....I do not have a gallbladder. I have two small hernias at the groin. I have a 2cc kidney stone. Went to the gastrologist and he said go to the urologist...she said the stone was not large enough to worry about. I am in pain and itching like crazy in my abdomen and in my left groin area I feel like a vice is gripping me and pain.....I am at wits in to know what to do......I went to the XXXXXXX Herman Memorial medical center which is the best of the best and no help......what is wrong with me? The burning and stinging in my abdomen and the pain is killing me and I have almost lost hope....

Hello and thank you for asking HCM.

I have read your symptoms and will try to find a solution.
Let us take all your conditions step by step--

-diverticula of colon. If you don't have infection/inflammation of these diverticula, then just diet (eating healthy) is more than enough.

-bilateral hernia in the growing area. If these hernias are not incarcerated than it is not an emergency. you should not work with heavy weights.

-2cc kidney stone (the stone are measured in mm or cm.) if the stone is 2 mm,than nothing to worry. If the stone is 2 cm,than it needs to be treated

Since you consulted a gastroenterologist and an urologist,I assume you did blood tests. If the blood tests are normal (bilirubin level, urea, creatinine) then these conditions can't explain your main symptom.

-the burning and stinging in your abdomen.
You need to consult a dermatologist or an infectious disease specialist. There are some skin infections that can give this symptom. For example Herpes Zoster. The pain in the chronic phase of this infection can persist for months or even years if left untreated.

If you have any further question, please feel free to ask me.

I don't have any signs of skin reactions. I burn all in my abdomen and even out my vaginal area. Not necessarily related to urinating.....the burning can occur at any time.... I don't have Herpes Zoster.....I have NO RASH.....my burning is not following the lines that shingles follow....it is in my abdomen from the time I eat to the time there is nothing left inside.....I have had stomach problems for quite some times now and this is very different.....something is very wrong and no one has enough sence to solve my problem!!!!! What is wrong with medical science these days....they are all about making money and not solving the problem. You tried to put a band aide on this......thanks for nothing......frustrated!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi,

Medicine is not an exact science. According to symptoms and exams doctors are able to put a diagnose and than treat it.

If you rule out Herpes Zoster than maybe it is a hormonal balance.

But in each case tests need to be done. Abdominal pathologies don't give the symptoms that you have.
If blood tests are normal than probably it is a skin issue (that need to be checked by a dermatologist) or a hormonal balance (need to be checked by an endocrinologist)

I am not saying that you don't have symptoms or that you don't have pain. I am trying to help to find a solution.

I can't do a physical exam so I judge only by your symptoms only.
