Brief Answer:
Yes, it could be / need further investigations

Detailed Answer:
Hi friend
Welcome to Health Care Magic

True, it could well be a problem of the food pipe (Esophagus) and/or stomach

Pain from the heart is oppressing, in central chest (and left), worse on effort, relieved by rest, may radiate to shoulders and arms, associated with sweating and so on…
Relation to food or fluids suggest gastro-intestinal problem…

However, at this age, Coronary Artery Disease, has to be routinely excluded, as it can masquerade! .
ECG, and subsequently, TMT (Treadmill Exercise ECG) is the ideal non-invasive way to exclude….

An Upper Gastro Intestinal Endoscopy (‘Gastroscopy’) can rue in or rule out the other issue

Appropriate treatment demands accurate diagnosis / And that demands examination; probably investigation too; GET EXAMINED

In the meantime, antacid like magaldrate / Proton Pump Inhibitor like Omeprazole or H2 antagonist like ranitidine / Prokinetic agents like Domperidone – may help

Good luck
God bless you

Brief Answer:
The endoscopy should be repeated

Detailed Answer:
Hi

H. Pylori is an infection and completely curable

Metaplasia is may be a cause for concern… the cell takes a form, different from the original. It could revert to normalcy or progress.
The endoscopy and biopsy ought to be repeated now to make sure – that there is no progression or there indeed is reversal. Follow up with your Gastro-enterologist
