Question: My 81 year old mother, a former smoker, maybe 45-50 yrs of smoking is showing signs of CHF. She's recovering from pneumonia still on antibiotics, takes 3 meds for blood pressure, on cholesterol med and has severe COPD (I have mod. COPD). Her mother passed at 86 from heart attack. Mom uses 2 inhalers but still stays short of breath; says she has trouble catching breath.

Heart is weak due to heart failure and lungs are weak due to COPD.
