Brief Answer: DETAILS ARE GIVEN BELOW. Detailed Answer: Hello, Thanks for writing to us. 1) According to your clinical features, the underlying cause could be hormonal imbalance, over weight or rapid loss, mental stress or emotional upset, anemia, pelvic infection etc. Here, pregnancy should be ruled out by home pregnancy test as you are trying to conceive actively. Some relevant investigations would be worthwhile like Trans Vaginal Ultrasound scan, hormone test (D-21 Progesterone), blood sugar, Hb% etc. Proper treatment depends on diagnosis of the case. 2) For successful conception, you need to do unprotected sex close to ovulation day (14 days prior to next due date) or fertile days (11th to 18th day of each 28 to 30 days cycle). You can use ovulation prediction kit in the mid cycle to track down ovulation time. You would take Vitamin-E and folic acid supplements for 3 months during preconception stage. If you fail to conceive after 12 months, then additional investigations are required under the guidance of infertility specialist like Husband Semen Analysis, Serial follicular study (D12 to D16), test for tubal Patency and Cervical factor etc. 3) In the mean time, you can do the following things to get effective result: a) Take healthy diet with more green vegetables and IRON supplements. b) Avoid mental stress by regular meditation or yoga (15 to 30 min). c) Control body weight by regular physical exercise and avoid fatty foods. d) Take sound sleep always and maintain genital hygiene properly. 4) SUGGESTION: If you don't get your period within 3 to 5 days wait, you would consult with your gynecologist for clinical evaluation, proper guidance of relevant investigations & prescription. Hormonal medication may be required to regularize period. Hope, it helps for your understanding. Let me know, if you need any clarification. Wish your good health and take care yourself. Thank you doctor for your detailed explanation.since im going to gym daily i would like to know if there is a chance that this pink watery light discharge may be related to pregnancy as i would like to rest if that's the case. i have never experienced such discharge around my period due date which is on monday.my doctor suggested no need for hormone tests as my period is regular every month.im reducing my weight gradually.

Brief Answer: PREGNANCY SHOULD BE RULED OUT. Detailed Answer: Hello, Thanks for follow up query. 1) If you don't undergo home pregnancy test, then you need to do the test with morning urine sample to rule out pregnancy. In early pregnancy, mild spotting or pinkish/ brownish discharge may be seen. Therefore, pregnancy should be confirmed as you are TTC. 2) Weight control with proper diet (low carbohydrate) is essential to regularize period and correct hormonal imbalance. It will also facilitate your conceiving chances. You must follow the previous guideline. Hope, I have guided you properly. Kindly, close the discussion if you don't have any other query. Good luck and all the best. Regards, Dr Soumen
