Brief Answer:
It is necessary for normal baby growth.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.

A high TSH level during pregnancy indicates a thyroid hormone deficiency. This hormone is necessary for the normal growth and development of the baby.

The thyroid supplement- Thyronorm that you have started is necessary for normal growth of the baby.

It will not harm the baby. It is best to get a repeat test of TSH levels done after 6 weeks and go for regular Gynecologist consultation.

Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.

Wishing you good health.
Regards.
