Brief Answer:
Your differential neutrophil count is normal

Detailed Answer:
hello. thank you for writing to us.

I am Dr. kakkar (dermatologist). I have gone through your query and I have noted your concern.

Differential neutrophil count is considered to be normal if they constitute between 45%-70% of the total wbc's. Your differential count of 66% segmented wbc's (Neutrophils) is within limits of normalcy. Therefore they don't have a reason to suspect herpes unless they have a specific test for herpes included in the testing protocol.

Hi Doc, the normal values of segmenters on the lab i got tested at was 0.40 to 0.66..will it be questioned by the patbologist?will he give me the clearance even if i was out of the range?also,my urine test had 8-12 rbc, reaction-6.0 to acidic..epithelial-moderate,mucus-few..are these ok?were these cause by the herpes virus?all other are almoset perfectly normal except for the abovementioned..sorry..im really quite paranoid about this..i couldnt sleep

Brief Answer:
Your differential neutrophil count is quite normal

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

Still your differential neutrophil count of 66% is at the upper limit of normal. However, most labs have a standard range of 0.45%- 0.70% neutrophils. I would suggest an 'absolute neutrophil count' in order to determine if the circulating is exactly raised or not.
Moreover genital herpes is a local disease and usually does not alter circulating neutrophil counts unless it is a severe first episode of genital herpes (Primary epsiode) and is accompanied by systemic symptoms like fever etc. Also neutrophils can become raised in a number of other disease states too.
Your urine routine is quite Ok except a few rbc. This could have been due to recent episode of herpes that is healing or current active herpes.
I don't think your CBC would make them suspicious of genital herpes. It is in fact normal. So relax and all the best.
