Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thanks for writing in

Pseudocyst of pancreas is a common complication of acute pancreatitis

It can very well be managed with Laparoscopic surgery if there are pressure symptoms

It is not life threatening

Please reassure yourself
Hope this helps

Brief Answer:
Not Always

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thanks for your followup

An intelligent question indeed

Not All low density areas on pancreatic CT are treated as Pseudocyst

But the fact that you had pancreatitis , it is more likely

Aart from this MRI is a better tool understanding cystic lesions of pancreas as compared to CT, so in case of doubt I would suggest you go for a MRI

Hope this clears your doubts

Brief Answer:
Only a radiologist can interpret

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thanks for writing in again

Only a radiologist will be in a position to interpret a MRI

Apart from the fact that with mere a statement of low density area no one can come to a diagnosis

It has to be a clinical correlation along with real time MRI interpretation

But with a history of pancreatitis it being pseudocyst is more likely

Hope this helps
Wishing you a healthy life ahead
