Brief Answer:
Nothing to worry

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Your wbc is slightly high.

Since you are not having symptoms such as fever or night sweats and swollen lymph nodes and your other blood counts are normal you do not need to worry.

In leukemia wbc count is much higher and since you recovered from chicken pox infection the count is showing slightly in the higher range.

You are not suffering from leukemia and the count will come back to normal within 2 weeks of time.

Brief Answer:
In leukemia patients wbc count is over 100,000/cu mm.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

You can prevent cancer by avoiding smoking and exposure to smoke, eating plenty of fruits and vegetables, limiting alcohol intake, limiting red meat and animal fat and doing regular exercise.

You do not need to consult any other doctor.

For your anxiety you can take tablet alprazolam 0.5 mg at night after food.

In leukemia patients wbc count is over 100,000/cu mm.

You can be rest assured you are not suffering from leukemia.

Brief Answer:
tablet levoflox 500 mg once a day

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Your new wbc count of 13200 is minorly high and is due to some remaining infection in your body.

There is no chance of leukemia as in leukemia wbc count is over 100,000/cu mm.

I would advise you to take tablet levoflox 500 mg once a day after food for 5 days which will bring your count back to normal.

Brief Answer:
Bone marrow test

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Since you are suffering from so much anxiety i will advise you to do a bone marrow test to rule out leukemia.

In this procedure the bone marrow is removed using a long, thin needle. The sample is sent to a laboratory to look for leukemia cells.

If it comes out to be negative then you have no chance of leukemia.

Answered by Dr. Monish De (9 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
Not leukemia

Detailed Answer:
Hi

A course of levoflox will bring your wbc count within normal limit.

It is more of a psychologial problem for you and you can be rest assured that it is not leukemia and the increase wbc count is only due to some remaining infection in your body.

There is nothing to worry.
