What Causes Itchy Rash On Torso After A Shingles Vaccine?

am male, had shingles vaccine in April 2013 at age 61. now have itchy rash, spots all over torso. Looks like chicken pox. Is this likely to be shingles as looked on line & appears to be? Is there medicine I should seek for this? If so, can I get at a CVS Urgent care-sick visit at physicians office too expensive.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

The symptoms seem to be related to shingles which is a viral infection.
A photo would be very helpful through the diagnosis.
I recommend using an antiviral cream such as Acyclovir cream for local application.
I also suggest using an antihistamine such as Cetirizine to relieve the itching.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
