Brief Answer:
Such products have doubt ful potency

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for choosing wwwhealthcaremagic
you will find thousands of such products on net, making tall claims of magical results . but none has been put to vigorous scientific research to test their efficacy and possible side effects. Any claim of no side effect can never be true because side effect and desirable effects are on the same spectrum. if a chemical molecule has effect or desirable effect, it must have some effects which are undesirable called side effects. so I suggest not to try such product. instead try a treatment which has very well documented efficacy.

In this case, what treatment should I try? May main problem is that I ejaculate too fast and then it takes even a day to get a second erection. This embarasses me leaving me with endless thoughts of how I may overcome this problem. I have read severally on this two subjects but it seems there more i read about them the more confused I become.

Brief Answer:
Please try SSRI

Detailed Answer:
Hello
You should try scientifically proven treatment. You have pre mature ejaculation . Associated anxiety causes reduced desire , which further worsens pre mature ejaculation. The latent or refractory period is always a part of sex response cycle. some have lesser than others, it tend to increase with age. so I suggest you to try SSRI like Paroxetine CR 12.5 mg . Please get your testosterone level checked in morning 8.30AM and fasting blood sugar, blood pressure also need to be checked.

Brief Answer:
It will help you

Detailed Answer:
Hello
SSRI is Selective Serotonin uptake Inhibitors . They are used primarily for depression and anxiety and delayed ejaculation is a side effect . I use it as a desired effect. it can have mild transient side effects like gastric upset, giddiness initially but quickly disappears. it is effective in up to 70-80% cases but it should be supplemented with sex therapy sessions because sexuality is a learned art! you are not born with this.

Brief Answer:
Take the prescription from GP

Detailed Answer:
Hello
It depends on the city and country you live in. Legally speaking, these are prescription drugs but can be managed by getting a prescription from your local GP. Sex Therapy sessions consists of counselling sessions of 25-30 minutes . We focus on the psychology aspects, your strengths, weaknesses, likings of both of you, how you can arouse each other and improve overall sex life, learning to control ejaculation. Time it takes vary from couple to couple. it may need 8-10 sessions . we have started it on line programme.

Doctor, you are prompt! Well, I come from Kenya, Nairobi but currently in Central XXXXXXX Republic-Bangui. This is a war revamped country with very few Drs who can prescribe this medicine. Now, I will try and see if I can buy over the counter. Could you please advise me the daily dosage? Also, what is the alternative to this medicine in case I dont find it in the pharmacy here? Thanks again Doctor.

Answered by Dr. Dr.Saatiish Jhuntrraa (3 hours later)
Brief Answer:
Try Dapoxetine , if needed

Detailed Answer:
Hello
The daily dosage can vary from 12.5 to 37.5 mg . if you can't get this, you may try Dapoxetine 30 mg per day or anafranil 25 mg per day. In case of side effects, one can reduce the dose, change the time of medicine intake, give some other drug to neutralise its side effects and so on.

I have been reading on the net about Dapoxitine which you had mentioned earlier as an alternative to Paroxitine. It seems this drug has not been endorsed by the US FDA. Do you think it is wise to still buy it even if it hasn't been endorsed?

It may not be approved as yet but there is ample scientific and personal experience to show its effectiveness. you can search in Pubmed library on studies for effectiveness of SSRI in premature ejaculation.

Brief Answer:
Try sex therapy

Detailed Answer:
Hello
It is unfortunate that these medicines are not available in your part of the world. There is nothing much I can do because sending by courier is also not possible due to legal hassles. Still there are sex therapy sessions you can take on line to try to learn to have control over ejaculation. This can be done on line via skype . These are well proven to be effective if the motivation is good and preferably both the partners are taking part.
