Brief Answer:
Diagnosis needs to be confirmed

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand the concerns.
Delayed periods can be due to pregnancy, stress or hormonal imbalance like hypothyroidism or hyperprolactinemia.
If the pregnancy is ruled out, then there are possibilities of stress or hormonal imbalance.
If you are having premenstrual symptoms, then the periods are likely to occur in next 3-5 days.
If the periods do not occur in next one week, then you should get your thyroid and prolactin hormone levels done to confirm the diagnosis and get the further treatment accordingly.
Hope you found the answer helpful.

I got the ultrasound done and found dominant follicle on my left ovary 16mm*15mm*15mm vol1.9cm. Definately not pregnant. Will i get periods soon? I am also having sore breast since two days under arms which i usually have before my periods start. Can you enlighten me please

Answered by Dr. Deepti Verma (1 hour later)
Brief Answer:
After 2 weeks

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
If the ultrasound shows the dominant follicle, then the periods are likely to occur after 10-14 days.
This is so because the periods occur 14 days after the dominant follicle ruptures.
I will suggest you to wait for 2 weeks.
