Brief Answer: yes Detailed Answer: Synthroid is the brand name for Levothyroxine, which is a thyroid hormone. When you take this medication, the TSH goes down. TSH basically tells you if you need more thyroid hormone or not. If the TSH goes high, it is because your body is not detecting thyroid hormone in the blood, therefore it tries to stimulate production by secreting TSH, which is supposed to stimulate thyroid hormone in healthy persons. If the TSH goes down to near 0, it mean you have plenty of thyroid hormone in your body, and no stimulation is needed to produce more thyroid hormone. You may need to cut down on the dose of the Synthroid, since your TSH level is close to 0, however you should not change the dosage until you speak to your doctor. Your platelet count is normal (it is considered normal until 500 000), however even higher numbers are ok, and usually does not bring any consequences (unless closer to the 1million range).
