HELLO THERE.

Thanks for writing to us.

Your urine analysis report is within normal limits. The calcium oxalate crystals mentioned can be seen normally also and need not necessarily indicate stones.
Pus cells of 1-2 is normal and may be due to contamination while collecting the sample.

Diabetes can present with increase in the frequency and volume of urination because of an increased urge to drink water. Its a very common symptom of diabetes and might also indicate that your sugar levels are not well controlled on the drug you are taking. Avoiding drinking water will not solve your problem instead aggravate it by causing infections. So do maintain a good fluid intake.

Itchiness of skin especially around the groin and genitals are common in diabetes. It can also be due to fungal infection which occurs frequently in diabetics.
I wanted to know if you are by any chance obese as the loose pad of fat around the waist can further predispose to sweating in that area and itching. Constant wetness is predisposing factor for fungal infections.
If the area is red and very itchy with plaque formation then it can be a fungal infection for which you need to use antifungal creams after consulting a doctor. Also the area has to be kept dry and maintain hygiene to reduce itching and further infections.

The medicines you are taking Diamicrone and Atorvastatin do not cause side effects of frequent urination and itching. So dont worry about them being the cause of your problems.

The best parameter to know if your blood sugars have been well controlled is blood HbA1c levels. This is measure of glycosylated hemoglobin the blood which gives an average estimate of blood sugar levels over the past 3 months. If the value is more than 7% , it means your sugars were not well controlled which might have aggravated the common symptoms of uncontrolled diabetes like frequent urination and itching around the waist.

The best to way to control blood sugars is by having a diet with low glycemic index and regular exercise. Drugs alone wont help if you do not control your diet and do not lose weight.

I hope I have answered your query.

Take care.
