Can STD Be Contracted Through Contact With Vaginal Skin?
Question: HI, I am very stressed out for the last 3 months. I was with a woman and we did not have oral, vaginal or anal sex, however i did touch her clitoris and then i touched myself too.
Few days after that I developed lower abdominal pain specially when I had to pee. I got a urine test which showed mild infection. Took cipro 500 mg for 5 days but the symptoms did not go away. I went to a local STD clinic and since I was so stressed out they gve my azoithromycin 1 g and cefixime injection. Also took samples for chlaymydia and gonorrhea which came back as negative.
However the symptoms did not go away. I started getting more and more stressed ut. ALso took metronidazole to treat possible tricho infection! As u can see it has really got to me. Now the predominant symptom is early morning mild, clear discharge/wetness at the urethral meatus.and feeling wet most of the time. I am totally freaked out. I have a family and my famil y life is being vastly affected. The STD clinic says that I have received the treatment they could offer and that I need to consult my doctor. I do not want to go to my doctor for obvious reasons. what should I do

STDs are commonly transmitted by direct sexual contact i.e either vaginal, anal or oral sex with an infected sexual partner. Indirect contact i.e through your fingers Or hands is unlikely to transmit as STD and has not been reported.
Anyways you have also recieved adequate treatment for urethritis at the STD clinic.
I would like to know whether apart from urethral discharge do you have any other symptoms like frequent urination, burning sensation on passing urine, pelvic pain etc?

Thank you for the promt reply, I do have v mild burning at the tip when I pass urine. Sonetimes I have a stinging sensation too. I am just very concerned because leukocytes on urine dipstick and all these ssymptoms including the eearly morning colorless mild discharge started after that episode. I was reading up on mycoplasma genitalium infection, that has become resistant to azithtomycin and is now susceptible to moxifloxacin. Should I be concerned about that? And I probably did not change towels after I took metronidazole for tricho. Is that a concern too? I know the level of interaction I had is considered v low risk but then why the signs and symptoms plus leukocytes in urine (10-25) and nothing coming up on routine urine culture as well besides the chlamydia / gonorthea tests. That's the reason I am v stressed out.

Moreover you have been treated adequately for urethritis at your local STD clinic.
Nevertheless, presence of clear urethral discharge, burning/ stinging sensation at urethral tip and presence of leukocytes in urine specimen seems to be part of symptomatology of underlying prostatitis and I think that should be ruled out.
I would suggest a visit to a urologist.
