Posted on Wed, 15 Jun 2016
Question: dear sir..I had a unprotected vaginal sex 3 months ago. post 1 week I am experiencing bitter tongue and whitish every morning after wake up, headache and burning eyes. sometimes uncomfortable testicle.
I did below tests
23rd day antibody, 37th day PCR, 51st day combo, 72nd day tridot test and yesterday at 94th day antibody test. all came negative. I was relaxed as I have heard 3 months test is conclusive . but my all symptoms are still continuing so I went to Gp for finding reasons. I was asked to undergo entire blood test which I did. in that some concerns are there. my white blood cell count was 10.7, cholesterol was 243 and triglycerides was 295. plus blood protien was 8.8 . also fasting glucose was 100. I m again worried as I have heard that in HIV lipids and protien are high. but at the same time I m wondering I did every Hiv test till 13th weeks. is there chance of non detection. I m scheduled to visit my GP this week end.
please help, I m scared as I have still all those symptoms over 3 months.

Thank you for query. I am Dr Bharatesh D Basti answering your query.
Welcome to health care magic. I have gone through the details.

HIV Antibodies tests after 3 months is conclusive. You are free from HIV. You can allay fears of HIV.
The slight increase in triglycerides and cholesterol can be due to obesity .It is not related to HIV.Similarly protein rise does not always suggest HIV .It is nonspecific. It can be due to many conditions including many Infections.
You can get evaluated by a physician.

You can get back for any clarification.
