Is It Safe To Take Regular Medication And Amway Nutrilite For Diabetics?

Doctor, My mother(47) bought this new Amway s Nutrilite Glucose Health. She has diabetes. My queries are: 1. Is this supplement good for my mother? 2. If yes, My mother is already taking her medicine (Glucored Forte), so is it good if she takes both of her medicines? Will it affect her in a bad way?

Hi

Yes,you can take the supplement along with diabetic drugs as long as the patient feels no discomfort or side effects.

Using both together does not seem to have any major interactions.

Monitor blood glucose levels once a month to titrate tablet dose if necessary.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards
Dr.Saranya Ramadoss, General and Family Physician
