Hi,
Thank you for writing in,
Dandruff also called as Seborrhoeic dermatitis inflammatory condition of skin caused by fungus.
It affects the scalp, eyebrows, eyelids, creases of the nose, lips, behind the ears, in the outer ear, and middle of the chest.
It can be due to stress, weather extremes, oily skin and infrequent shampooing or skin cleaning.
Treatment is:
-Keep the affected area clean,
-Wash hair daily till its completely disappears,
-Shampoos containing Ketoconazole, Zinc pyrethione can be used to kill the affecting fungus and improve keratinisation of hair follicles.
-Use a clean comb, separated from others to prevent infection in future.

Ophthalmologist Dr. Vidhya's  Response
Hi
Blepharitis/ dandruff in eyelashes,as commonly told, needs a good lid hygiene.

Scrub your lid margins with a drop of Johnson's baby shampoo and clean it with cotton soaked in warm water twice a day.
Consult your ophthalmologist for an antibiotic with mild steroid eye ointment to apply twice daily with cotton tipped buds along the lid margins,at the base of the lash.
Omega 3 fatty acid supplement with a course of oral antibiotic will help you recover faster and prevent recurrence.

Medications should be taken after a consultation, as your eye doctor will monitor the changes and tell you how long you need the antibiotics.

This is a condition which can be cured if you are regular in maintaining a good lid hygiene with a good moisture .
Take care.

Hello
welcome to health care magic
first of all quit all harsh chemicals that you are using.follow this regime for 20 days and let me know:
1.Apply coconut oil mixed with lime juice.Oil your hair once a week, and always use a mild shampoo.

2.Mix one part of apple cidar vinegar, honey, lemon juice, and an egg yolk.vinegar with one part of water and wash your scalp with this. Cover your head with a clean towel and leave the vinegar mixture on your scalp overnight. Wash off with clear water in the morning.
3.Soak fenugreek seeds overnight. Then, make a paste and apply all over the scalp. Leave on for 1/2 an hour. Rinse off with plain water. Apply this paste twice a week, for a month.
4.drink at least 2 litre of water every day.
5.Seborrheic dermatitis is a condition that causes red, oily, and flaky skin. It is also a common dandruff cause.Another notable medicinal herb for dandruff is white beet. Boil tops and roots of the herb, let cool and massage to scalp every night.
