Will My Hair Grow Back After Suffering From Ulcerative Colitis?
I have a lot of hair loss for about a week now. 3 months ago I was on the hospital for ulcerative colitis. If this is the reason for my hair loss, will it grow back? Will it All fall out? Is there anything I can do now to stop it from continuing to fall out?

Hello, Thanks for your query. I have noticed that women with UC because of lack of nutrition lose Can have hair loss. You don't absorb enough vitamins. So you might want to take some. Also it could be hormones like was suggested or it could be a thyroid problem. If you are stressed alot its likely to be that also. When you get stressed your scalp tightens up and it cuts the circulation off to the hair follicals and your hair can get dry and brittle. so stimulation to the scalp helps hair growth and health. You might have some blood work next time you go to the doctor just to rule out all the other stuff mentioned. I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query. Take care
