hi DR. have been having irregular period for long.the consoltant prescribed me steron one tablet for 30 days.wil i eva get my menstrual period regulary?another question is that i sti l want a baby.wil the steron affect my chances of gettin pregnant? rgads

Hi, thanks for using HCM.

Steron contains norethisterone, Low doses are used to prevent pregncey. Medium-strength tablets are used to treat heavy periods. It is not going to affect your fertility of subsequent cycle.
Steron used for heavy periods.
Common causes for heavy periods are anemia, infection and thyroid abnormalities. Consult your doctor for examination and further management. Need to get few test thyroid profile, complete blood counts.
Correction of underlying cause results in regular cycles.
