Will HRT Help Me Have Good Energy Level And Overall Health?

Thank you. I am a 62 year old male, good health. Blood work recently indicated Cholesterol @167 total, BP 118/64. All other profiles at in lower range to include PSA. I am on only low dose meds for BP and a statin. I have several friends who are taking HRT and are very satisfied with results. My recent Testosterone measured 676. my goal in considering HRT is for my energy level and overall health. I have to back into the working world full time as I have had very difficult financial times. Travel and late days and nights will be the future. Would this help me to stay in the game ?

Hi,
Thanks for asking.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. Yes, hormone replacement therapy could be helpful usually in patient with hypogonadism
2. As your testosterone is well within normal range, giving more testosterone could have adverse effects. The adverse effects, possibly would include decreased testicular size, sleep apnea, increased cholesterol, infertility and decreased sperm count.
3. At present, you seem to be having everything going well, and all blood work within normal range. You would not require HRT to have good energy or good health, as you already have it.
4. Once started, adverse effects, cannot be reversed. Would be better to stay away from HRT and you can be in the game, your ownself completely.
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
