Why There Is Pain In My Leg In The Bone In The Same Area On Earlier Fracture?

hi. I broke my tibia about 3 years ago. It was an open fracture resulting in 5 debreidments, a skin graft, a muscle flap, and an x-fix. In the last 6 months I ve been getting pain in my leg in the bone in the same area the break was. Is this normal after such a bad break? Any ideas what may be causing it?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

With your condition, I would suggest one X-ray and complete blood counts to assess if any infection is there. Mild superficial pain can occur but not deep pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Gopal Goel, Orthopaedic Surgeon
