Whitish Discolouration In Mouth, Reddish, Dry Lower Lip, Severe Itching. Cure For Symptoms?

hello doc im hving probelms in my mouth on the inner side of mouth its whitish and while swalowing im hving so problems like sumthing is cuming in between and on the outer side of my lower lip above the chin its redish and dry and sumtimes itching a lot and becomes more red ...please help me and im also hving bad breath due to it

Hi kuljyot,
There could be multiple causes of halitosis and white patches inside mouth. Oral candidiasis( fungal infection) is one of them. It can also involve lips and angles of the mouth. However correct diagnosis and proper treatment can only be instituted once your oral cavity and lips have been thoroughly examined. For the same a doctor's visit is mandatory. As a general oral care, do warm saline gargles or betadine gargles after every meal and apply clotrimazole mouth paint over your white patches twice to thrice in a day. If it is a fungal infection, you might need a course of oral anti fungal also. Take care.
