Whats The Level Of Cholesterol Risk With CHOD-PAP 2240mg/dl?

Hi

I'm Ajith , i recently had a lipid profile check and got the following result.

CHOD-PAP : 2240mg/dl
GPO-PAP : 154.9mg/dl
HDL : 35.7Mg/dl
LDL : 159.1mg/dl
VLDL: 29.2mg/dl

Can you please look into the above reading and let me know my cholesterol risk

Hi Ajith!
Your cholesterol with CHOD-PAP method is 2240 mg/dl .Its an Enzymatic method for quantitative determination of Total Cholesterol in human serum or plasma.This level of cholesterol is very high please check with lab if actually it is 2240 or 224.0 because typing errors do occur in every lab,then you can take statins under physician's guidance to lower blood cholesterol.
Triglycerides are measured by GPO-PAP method,your triglycerides,LDL are borderline high,a 12 hr fasting sample is good for lipid profile.
