. About one-fourth of women with this type of cyst experience pain. Usually, these cysts produce no symptoms and disappear by themselves within a few months.
Functional ovarian cysts are the most common type of ovarian cyst. They usually disappear by themselves and seldom require treatment. Growths that become abnormally large or last longer than a few months should be removed or examined to determine if they are a sign of a more serious condition.

Hello vidya;
welcome to HealthcareMagic
Infertility is called when a couple is staying together and having unprotected relations but still the female does not conceive in a period of 1 year.Ovarian cyst is of many type follicular ;haemorrhagic and in some females can cause irregular periods or problems in ovulation thereby leading to infertility. The problem of cyst is called PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) it is treatable with medicines and another thing is that you can even have a baby with the cyst if you have:-
- proper ovulation .
-fallopian tubes are patent.
-the semen analysis report of your husband is normal.
Please consult a Gynaecologist for examination and treatment and she will guide you and you can discuss it in detail.
All the best.

Hello doctor, I m 30 years old and having periods every 40 days.I also had a mis-carriage during the first 1.5 years. From there, we were trying and not succesful. So decided to go for treatment. Going for treatment for the past 1yr. Initial tests shows that insulin is not advised to take diabetin/glucophage 50mg.After these tablets, insulin become normal. Still continuing the tablets. Also, taking Diane 35/Progyluton for past 8 months, now i get periods in every 30 days. Doctor planned to do IUI initially and started the ultra sound scanning and found that no eggs formed on the follicle.follicle keeps growing and doctor confirmed that no egg found and it could be Follicular ovarian cyst. Also taking serophene 50 mg (2 day to 6th day) and doctor planned to increase it to 100mg later on. Also if it doesn t work she planned to do injection. Q: 1. Wanted to understand the criticality of the problem? 2. what treatment is necessary at this stage ?is it curable and what is the success percentage on such treatment. 3. can you advise any doctor in chennai? My weight: 55.5kg. Height : 153 cms

I am 83 years of age. I am 5'6"" and 190 lbs. My Dr. recently discovered a cyst on my pancreas which tested non malignant for now. Three days after my test, I started having bloody stool and feeling terrible. I went to emergency and was admitted only to find out I had a broken blood vessel in my stomach which they said was not related to the other procedure. I spent 5 days in the hospital and have not been able to eat. I find it hard to swallow anything and am still not feeling well even though I am at home now. The Dr. clamped the blood vessel. I just don't understand that I am still feeling bad. Is there something else I should be looking for?

my mom is suffering from ovarian cancer
2 years she got operated & got 6 cycles of chemotherapy

aftr a year of operation..she had 2 small cysts in the ovary & they wer neutral

afr 3 or 4 months one of the cysts got disappeared but one exseted & latr now developed in to cancerous cyst
its size was of 40\40 mm
& got increased to 75\75 mm

after 2nd phase of chemotherapy...that cyst got reduced back to 40/40mm now
doctors said that the cyst should be reduced completely...but it didnt even aftr complete 6 cycles of chemotherapy for 2nd phase...

can we conduct a operation now as even cancerous r no more ...& remove that cyst??
because that cyst might later develop back to cancerous as it happened last time
doctors said that the neutral crst is ok in the human body ,,,but i read in the internet that even a normal cyst shouldnt be kept inthe body not more than 8 weeks...
so.. i feel doctors neglected at that point 7 yet kept the cyst in the body which now had turned back to cancerous...

what can be the perfect solution now to treat??
plz..i need asnwer for this ..
